Summary

Join Adtalem Global Education as a Software Engineer and be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing organizational software and systems. You will provide support and mentorship to Associate Software Engineers, design software solutions, and analyze project needs. Collaboration with various stakeholders is key, as is maintaining and enhancing existing applications. Continuous learning and development are encouraged through vendor trainings and conferences. Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems or a related field plus 1 year of experience with software engineering, including experience with each of the following
  • Java, Node JS, React JS, or TypeScript
  • Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PL/SQL, or MongoDB
  • Hybrid cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
  • Agile methodologies
  • SOAP or REST
  • Git, SVN, or Bitbucket
  • AzureDevOps, Jenkins, or Gitlab
  • Mulesoft or TIBCO
  • JUnit

Responsibilities

  • Implement, maintain, performance tuning, and capacity management for all organizational software and systems
  • Provide software application delivery support and mentoring for Associate Software Engineers
  • Design and implement software solutions to meet business requirements and technical specifications
  • Analyze project needs and requirements and recommend solutions to enable enterprise integration
  • Develop and implement software solutions, standards, processes, and security
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, quality assurance testers, and other stakeholders to gather and refine software requirements and developments
  • Maintain and enhance existing software applications through bug fixes and feature enhancements
  • Maintain expertise in higher education software products, emerging technologies, and industry trends to continuously improve software products and practices
  • Attend vendor trainings, conferences, and presentations for continuing skills development
  • Train and mentor team members and other technical resources
