Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on cloud services and IoT
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as Google Cloud (preferred), AWS, Azure
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Java (required), Python, or Go
  • Experience with IoT protocols (e.g., MQTT, CoAP) and edge computing
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, automation, monitoring)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • This role is a remote role available in California, Massachusetts, Georgia, and Utah
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based services and applications for IoT solutions
  • Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to integrate IoT devices with cloud platforms
  • Implement scalable and secure cloud architectures that handle large volumes of data and real-time processing
  • Optimize cloud services for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency
  • Develop and maintain APIs for device communication and data exchange
  • Ensure data security and privacy by implementing best practices and compliance standards
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to cloud services and infrastructure
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing and IoT
  • Some on call required

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to work onsite in Los Altos CA several times per month is preferred
