Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of multiple databases (e.g., Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server)
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Experience in profiling and optimizing high-performance applications
  • 6+ years of software engineering experience
  • 2+ years of Java experience
  • Ability to influence without authority and work with engineers junior and senior
  • A passion for continuous learning and improvement (both at a personal and team level)

Responsibilities

  • Push forward Airbyte’s mission-critical connectors that extract customer data from databases and data warehouses
  • Define the framework for how Airbyte interacts with and extracts data from all databases and data warehouses
  • Drive step function improvements in warehouse connectors performance & reliability
  • Pioneer the creation of new patterns, tools, and frameworks for building database and data warehouse connectors
  • Build core technologies to manage a fleet of high-volume of data connectors
  • Help shape the Database Sources team roadmap
