Software Engineer

Summary

Join Black and White Zebra, a rapidly growing media tech company, as a Software Engineer. You will be responsible for the entire development process, from planning and development to testing and deployment. You'll work on back-end systems, AI agents, and integrations, collaborating with various teams. Requirements

• Be a Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience in software development projects
• Have experience working with data engineering projects
• Have experience working with back-end development
• Be good at managing your own working time
• Have 5+ experience as a software developer working with web applications projects
• Have experience with system design for data engineering projects
• Have a deep understanding of databases and how they work
• Have experience with programming languages, such as PHP, Python, Ruby, or similar
• Have experience with Javascript technologies, such as React, Ember.js , Node.js , or similar

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the whole development process, starting with discovering, planning and developing, ending with testing and deploying
• Work in the BWZ's Tech Team, highly involved in the development of our back-end systems and integrations (using Node.js , Python, AWS, etc), but also participating on the development and architecture of our multi-site Web Platform (built in WordPress), our Ad Tech Platform (built in Ruby on Rails), among many others systems and products
• Report to the Technology Director, working in the Back-End Team but also closely with the Web Platform and Ad Tech teams
• Be tasked with the development of solutions for back-end systems, AI Agents, and a variety of integrations between back-office tools
• Research and learn new technologies and solutions, so you can make suggestions and implementations that might fit our product needs to better perform and scale

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience with AWS-based architecture
• Have experience with AI development tools
• Have experience developing Python applications
• Have experience developing APIs
• Have experience writing tests and deployment processes
