Software Engineer

Summary

Join Emi Labs, a company on a mission to increase access to professional opportunities for frontline workers, and become a Software Engineer on the Conversations Team. You will build a state-of-the-art conversational engine and create tools to scale the throughput of conversations. The role involves close collaboration with the Product team, ensuring technical feasibility, solving production issues, building and maintaining microservices, and deploying code weekly. Requirements

• 3+ years of software developing experience
• You are excited by problems that require a mix of front-end and back-end skills and you go the extra mile to solve any issue that comes up
• You care about the product. You ask why are we building this feature? How will we measure impact?
• You enjoy designing and discussing technical solutions
• Strong communication skills - We're becoming a global company so, English is used internally

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Product team to detect and prioritize requirements
• Ensure technical feasibility of feature designs
• Solve production issues keeping in mind that the candidates come first
• Build and maintain our internal microservices following best practices
• Be able to ship code to production every week
• Monitor the performance of our services and take action if necessary

Preferred Qualifications

• You have experience working with distributed systems
• You have experience working with any cloud provider, such as AWS
• You're proficient with any part of our technology stack: React, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, Postgres, Mongo
• You have experience working with AI vendors like OpenAI, Anthropic, etc
