Summary

The job is for a Server Platform Engineer at Figma, a design collaboration tool company. The role involves designing, building, and operating scalable infrastructure systems and services, improving engineering standards, working with engineers to build new features, and helping debug production issues. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of experience in building infrastructure components/services at scale, experience building and scaling distributed systems, and a proven track record of building, scaling, and shipping high-quality products in high growth environments.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building infrastructure components / services at scale
• Experience building and scaling distributed systems as an individual contributor and/or Team Lead
• Previously built or worked on Compute, Deployment, Infrastructure as Code, Traffic, or Observability systems at scale
• Proven track record of building, scaling, and shipping high-quality products in high growth environments
• Experience communicating and working across functions to drive solutions

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate scalable infrastructure systems and services that power Figma’s innovative tools for design and collaboration
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
• Work with engineers across the company to build innovative new features that operate at scale
• Help debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
