Software Engineer

Summary

Join our Runtime Encryption team as a highly skilled Software Engineer and help design, develop, and implement innovative solutions that enhance data security through the use of confidential computing.

Requirements

• A passion for low-level software (mainly x86)
• A knack for higher level construct to ensure code quality (e.g., Rust)
• Knowledgeable of the Linux kernel
• Dedication to be part of a small, young team and help it grow its expertise
• At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience with C/C++ or Rust
• Bachelor or Master in Computer Science, Information Security or related field
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts

Responsibilities

• Develop tools and SDKs for confidential computing platforms
• Support other teams within Fortanix to use tools related to confidential computing platforms developed internally
• Design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions that meet security and performance standards
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in security and confidential computing
• Conduct code reviews, ensure best practices in software development, and maintain high standards of code quality
• Drive the adoption of new tools, methodologies, and processes to improve development efficiency and product quality

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of low-level security and security mitigations and a strong desire to grow your expertise where required
• Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies, including CI/CD, Agile, and DevOps
• Contributions to open-source projects
