Software Engineer

Summary

Join Kraken's Consumer team as a Senior Software Engineer and contribute to building applications that introduce Kraken's crypto offerings to a wider audience. This fully remote role focuses on developing and maintaining applications designed for ease of use and accessibility. You will design and implement robust Rust services and libraries, write efficient and testable code, and collaborate on large-scale distributed systems. The ideal candidate possesses 3+ years of software engineering experience, proficiency in Rust, a security-first mindset, and familiarity with distributed systems. Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering
• Proficiency in writing network services or asynchronous code in Rust
• Demonstrated commitment to a security-first mindset when designing systems
• Capability to autonomously debug issues across the stack, including OS, network, and application layers
• Familiarity with distributed systems and technologies, including RPC protocols, Kafka, and Event Driven Systems

• Design and implement robust Rust services and libraries

• Work side by side with hundreds of experienced Rust engineers
