Software Engineer

Summary

Join Flipster, a leading trading platform connecting investors to crypto opportunities, as a Software Engineer. This global remote role focuses on building and maintaining data platforms and tools for efficient, secure, and responsible data usage across the organization. You will write and maintain clean, efficient, and scalable code, optimize workflows, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, less than 3 years of professional experience, and strong problem-solving skills. Fluency in both Korean and English is required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Less than 3 years of professional experience or recent graduates
• Ability to quickly adapt to managed data warehouse environments such as BigQuery
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to learn quickly, and adapt
• Excellent software development skills and fluency in at least one modern programming language
• Business level proficiency in both Korean and English

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain clean, efficient, and scalable code while quickly learning new technologies
• Detail-oriented with strong data debugging skills and a keen eye for data quality using SQL
• Optimize workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and develop reusable components to improve engineering productivity
• Adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment with ambiguous requirements
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, using strong communication skills to drive technical projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on industry experience in software development
• Self-driven, proactive personality and critical thinking
• Experience in a cryptocurrency exchange or fintech company
• Experience working with web-scale datasets
• Experience in distributed computing/MapReduce strongly preferred
• Experience in Cloud/Big Data Platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Beam, Spark etc.)
