Software Engineer

Summary

Join Qwiet AI, a leading software security company, as a Software Engineer on our code analysis platform team. You will contribute to dependency management across various programming languages, SBOM generation and consumption, and data processing. This role involves designing and implementing CLI and backend services, maintaining code quality, collaborating with a global team, and writing technical documentation. You will work with a globally distributed remote team, including security researchers, machine learning engineers and data scientists, as well as the open source community. The ideal candidate possesses strong software engineering skills, experience with Go and other languages, and a deep understanding of security principles.

Requirements

• Degree in related field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of professional experience writing API services
• Professional experience with the Go programming language
• Experience with the package infrastructure and build systems for various languages and environments
• Experience using RDBMS, especially PostgreSQL
• Solid understanding of Docker containers
• Experience with CI and testing automation, such as Jenkins
• Experience with microservices environments with frequent releases (weekly, daily)

Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of CLI and backend services to expand our product offerings
• Maintain and improve the quality and testability of our code base over time
• Collaborate with other team members to identify and resolve technical issues and implement new features
• Write and maintain technical documentation to ensure consistency and knowledge transfer

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Scala
• Experience with other common languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, PHP, Ruby)
• Solid understanding of security issues and their cataloguing, CVEs, vulnerability management
• A keen eye for high quality coding standards, especially designing for testability
• Experience with AWS or similar
• Experience working in large and complex projects
