Software Engineer

Summary

Join Shields Health Solutions as a Software Engineer and contribute to the growth and evolution of ETL and data management within the Engineering team. You will play a crucial role in integrating partner and reference data daily, supporting the company's 'Legendary Care' model for patients and hospitals. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse data feeds, performing transformations, and loading data into a PostgreSQL RDBMS ecosystem. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science, a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience in Application Development involving RDBMS backend
• 3+ years of experience working in an enterprise-grade production environment for SDLC deployments and issue support

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL processes to integrate partner and reference data
• Collaborate with end-users, analysts, devOps, and other engineers
• Perform data transformations and load data into a PostgreSQL RDBMS ecosystem
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of data management systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with various data feeds using APIs and/or flat-files
• Experience with data warehousing, machine learning, reporting, and nightly batch processing
• Experience with Java (Springboot and Hibernate), SQL (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or other RDBMS), PL/pgSQL, Bash/Linux, and Python (Pandas preferred)
• Knowledge of ReactJS, Apache Spark, Informatica/Talend, Git/Bitbucket or other source code control, Production Scheduling - crontab, Airflow
• Experience with HIPAA-compliant data management of PHI
• Experience with Pharmaceutical data structures (HL7 and FHIR)
• Experience with Atlassian Jira and Atlassian Confluence
