Summary

Join Snapsheet's Foundational Services Team as a Software Engineer and contribute to building a robust cloud architecture. You will be developing key services like a new background job platform using Amazon SQS and a webhook feature for the Workflows platform. This role requires 3+ years of full-stack web development experience, including API design, database schema design, and understanding scalability challenges. Requirements

  • 3+ years of fullstack-focused web development experience including: Familiarity with modern technologies—Ruby on Rails and React are a plus
  • Designing and building APIs
  • Designing schemas and performant queries for relational databases
  • Understanding of scalability challenges and performance of server-side code
  • Eagerness to learn from and work with a collaborative team
  • Commitment to quality and passion for technology and creating cutting-edge solutions
  • Ability to manage tasks and to contribute towards multiple initiatives during a sprint

Responsibilities

  • Build a new background job platform with Amazon SQS
  • Develop a webhook feature for our Workflows platform
  • Help to plan the implementation of a comprehensive MFA feature for our login flow
  • Learn how we provide customer support and collaborate with a teammate
  • Get familiar with our project management cycle and contribute to Cooldown weeks (system upgrades, maintenance, bug fixes)
  • Ask questions, get comfortable with our core services, and ramp up quickly
