Requirements
- Deep knowledge of OpenTelemetry APIs, SDKs, and collectors
- Understanding telemetry data formats such as OTLP, JSON, YAML, and protobuf
- Experience working with OTEL-compatible observability platforms like Grafana, DataDog, Prometheus, Jaeger, Splunk, or ElasticStack
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering and technology, or related field
- At least 3-4 years of experience in working with Telemetry
- Experience on working with Telemetry on AI Workflows
Responsibilities
- Define our telemetry strategy and implement how we get the data from the edge using state of art telemetry tools
- Design and implement application observability using industry standard telemetry libraries, APIs, and SDKs
- Configure OTEL instrumentation across multiple platforms and frameworks (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, etc.)
- Build telemetry pipelines to collect, process, and export data to observability platforms (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, DataDog, New Relic)
- Set up collectors, agents, and exporters for distributed telemetry systems ensuring fault tolerance and high availability
- Monitor application performance using telemetry metrics like response time, CPU/memory consumption, and error rates
- Ensure adherence to OpenTelemetry specifications and organizational standards for telemetry data collection
- Deep knowledge of implementing this in an edge and a hybrid deployment

For California, Colorado, New York, Washington, and remote roles: The compensation range for this role is $119,130- $178,690 Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location
