Software Engineer

Summary

Join our expanding product development team as a Ruby on Rails Developer! Champion engineering efforts on our core product, participating in feature definition and implementation. You will build, improve, and update our application using Rails 7+, monitor system reliability, write tests, and proactively improve code. Mentoring junior team members is also part of the role. This is a remote-first position requiring 5+ years of full-stack Ruby on Rails experience and a solid understanding of web standards. A competitive salary and bonus are offered.

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-stack Ruby on Rails experience
• A solid understanding of web standards
• A desire to learn and embrace the newest Rails features
• Proven ability to thrive in a remote-first environment
• Demonstrate an understanding of ActiveRecord concepts and conventions
• Experience in utilizing PostgreSQL to organize and chart time-series data

Responsibilities

• Implement new features and technologies alongside the growing engineering team
• Use Rails 7+ to build, improve, and update our App
• Monitor the reliability and performance of relevant systems
• Write and maintain RSpec tests
• Proactively identify and participate in improving code and application functionality
• Help mentor and teach junior team members via strong development practices
