Summary

Join Tailscale's growing engineering team as a full-time Software Engineer. You will contribute to the development of the Tailscale product, focusing on features related to the Kubernetes operator, API, and integrations. This role requires experience with Kubernetes operators and control loops, as well as network fundamentals. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual who thrives in a remote, asynchronous environment and can collaborate effectively with technical teams. Requirements

  • Experience with developing operators for kubernetes
  • Experience with developing robust kubernetes control loops
  • Familiarity with networks (IP addressing, routing, etc.)
  • Ability to give and process constructive feedback, as well as work independently
  • Flexibility to adjust to the dynamic nature of a startup

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team of engineers and designers to add features in the Tailscale service
  • Take a holistic view of the product, from customer needs to client applications to the admin console
  • Develop features that support a broad range of functionalities for kubernetes integrating with tailscale
  • Develop the Tailscale product, contributing to client code and related services
  • Bring a special focus to developing features related to our kubernetes operator, API and integrations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Go
  • Experience with internals of kubernetes networking
