Software Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Software Engineer - Integrated Solutions at Twilio. The role involves developing new functionalities for Twilio's internal platforms, working with a small team, and engaging in all stages of the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software development experience in JavaScript or a related OO language
• Experience building scalable software systems, and background in distributed systems or infrastructure to help deliver mission critical applications
• Experience building web applications that delight customers and the developers working on them
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, including how they work and how to integrate with different tools using APIs
• Passionate about technology and enthusiasm for learning and working with new technologies
• Champion good engineering habits (development and testing techniques, security, tech debt balance, agile habits) within your team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Use skills and creativity to solve problems and build functionality into Twilio’s Internal Platforms and Tools
• Develop and maintain software, contributing to the overall success of Integrated Solutions Team
• Work with a small and collaborative team, whiteboarding ideas, building full stack products, APIs and services
• Engage in all stages of the software development lifecycle, including project planning, designing, coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring
• Perform thorough and thoughtful code reviews to help maintain a high standard of code quality
• Support production operations, building, releasing and assisting with team on-call
• Craft clear and concise documentation
• Work closely with a talented team of cross-functional engineers, designers and product managers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing on ServiceNow Platform
• Experience on Atalssian tools (Jira, Confluence)
• Experience developing for AWS services
