Software Engineer

Summary

Join Vercel's Edge team as an engineer to build and improve the infrastructure for our Frontend Cloud, ensuring scalability, availability, and reliability. You will collaborate with backend engineers and the product team to identify and solve problems, create tooling and automation, and design and debug systems in production. This dynamic role requires experience with high-performance systems, web servers, network protocols, and cloud services. Requirements

• Have at least 3 years of relevant experience
• Have deep experience with how to make high-performance systems scale in the cloud
• Want to help protect the Vercel platform and our customers from abuse
• Are knowledgeable and experienced with web servers, network protocols
• Comfortable in Golang
• Familiar with Cloud Services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, or others)

Responsibilities

• Help scale and improve infrastructure, availability, and reliability
• Work with backend engineers and the product team to identify problems
• Create tooling and automation
• Design systems
• Write code
• Debug systems in production

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Terraform
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with Lua
• Experience with React
• Experience with Next.js
