Software Engineer

Summary

Join VGS, a leader in payment tokenization, as a Software Engineer on the Payments Acceptance team. You will manage the lifecycle of payment cards by developing and maintaining the Card Management Platform (CMP). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and optimize the CMP. Success in this role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, customer focus, versatility, resilience, and confidence. Engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle, maintain code quality, and be proactive and innovative. VGS values transparency, collaboration, grit, and humility.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in hands-on software development, preferably in a SaaS company
• Hands-on experience in software architecture, design and development in a Cloud SaaS environment. Preferably with AWS / K8s working experience
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience working with cloud-native architecture, microservices, CI/CD (CircleCI, GitHub Actions, Argo), GitOps, APIs and API Gateway, Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), Kafka (MSK), Java, Spring Framework, Python, and AWS services
• Strong experience in Observability solutions using Grafana and Open Telemetry
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
