Summary

Join Webstacks, a high-growth website operations and marketing agency, as a Software Engineer! This full-time contractor position (up to 20 hours/week) is remote in Buenos Aires, Argentina, working PST hours. You'll collaborate with designers and stakeholders to create user-friendly experiences, maintain documentation, communicate technical feasibility, and write high-quality code. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of experience and proficiency in JS frameworks, HTML5, CSS3, and Node.js. Responsibilities

  • Work with product designers, other developers, and stakeholders to create user-friendly experiences
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation, usage guidelines, and component libraries, supporting designers and other developers in adopting and implementing the system effectively
  • Communicate technical feasibility and alternative solutions when roadblocks are discovered to clients and internal team members
  • Write high-quality, clean, efficient, performant, and well documented code to create reusable and modular components
  • Integrate and manage content through variety of CMS, ensuring seamless delivery across the application
  • Balance constraints, limiting short-term workarounds, while focusing on future extensions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Be highly experienced using JS Frameworks (React, Typescript, Gatsby.js, Next.js, etc.)
  • Have a proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
  • Have a strong understanding of CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
  • Have a proficient understanding of NodeJs
  • Have a proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT
  • Have an excellent ability to convert Figma/Sketch mockups into interactive digital experiences while taking performance and accessibility into consideration
  • Be able to implement and maintain various content management systems (Sanity, Contentful, Dato CMS, WordPress, Storyblok, Builder.io, Prismic, Strapi, etc.)
  • Have minimum 1-2 years of Wordpress experience
  • Have excellence in verbal and written communication, and in working collaboratively with a variety of colleagues and clients in challenging circumstances
  • Have excellent time management, problem solving, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Be an Analytical thinker. Asks thoughtful questions and identifies project roadblocks
  • Take direction and independently executes. You can problem solve while asking for guidance when needed
  • Be Eager to learn. Ready to expand their skill sets, and grow within the organization
  • Be Creative. You are self-motivated and excited to be a part of a high performance team
