Join Workstream, a mission-driven company building premium software for hourly businesses, and support our Payroll product as a full-time Software Engineer. You will investigate and fix software bugs, provide technical support to US clients, collaborate with cross-functional teams, document solutions, and contribute to new features. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science, 5+ years of application development experience, proficiency in NodeJS frameworks (ExpressJS or NestJS) and ReactJS, and experience with scalable systems and SQL databases.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in computer science or related major
- With 5+ years of working experience in application development
- Proficiency in at least one of the following NodeJS development frameworks: ExpressJS or NestJS
- Proficiency in ReactJS
- Experience building scalable systems and test-driven CI/CD commitment to quality software development
- Experience with SQL databases
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS
- With a strong foundation in programming principles and design patterns
- Keep up with the latest technological trends and continuously improve productivity
- Must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Must be willing to work following the US time zone
- Must have a high-speed and stable primary and backup internet connection (at least 50 Mbps). Please note that we will require you to submit a document showing a screenshot of your speed test results and computer specs
- Must be willing to attend occasional in-person meetings in Metro Manila
Responsibilities
- Investigate, identify, and fix software bugs reported by clients
- Provide timely L3 technical support to clients within the US time zone
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address client issues and improve software performance
- Document bug fixes and troubleshooting methods for future reference
- Help in developing new software features
