Summary

The Platform Engineering team at Scale is responsible for designing and developing core cloud infrastructure platforms and systems, using tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Helm, and AWS. The employee will own the underlying cloud infrastructure stack, collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver new features, and identify opportunities for improvements. They should have at least 5 years of engineering experience, specializing in back-end systems, extensive experience supporting cloud-based infrastructure, a deep understanding of distributed systems and software development best practices, and excellent communication skills.

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-time engineering experience, post-graduation with specialties in back-end systems
• Extensive experience supporting cloud-based infrastructure (AWS preferred)
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud platforms, and software development best practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Own the underlying cloud infrastructure stack running on AWS leveraging Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Helm and other common tools and frameworks
• Drive the architecture, design, implementation and support of our foundational platforms and systems, working closely with stakeholders and internal customers to understand and refine requirements
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features
• Proactively identifying opportunities for, and driving improvements to, current infrastructure practices, including process enhancements, tool upgrades, and cost optimizations
