Software Engineer (Features)

Summary

Join Visual Concepts, a leading game development studio, as a Feature Technology Engineer and contribute to the development of WWE 2K. You will be responsible for creating robust and adaptable systems, collaborating with designers and gameplay engineers, and ensuring the game's diverse features are delivered efficiently. This role involves working in an Agile environment, producing clean and well-documented code, and collaborating with a team of skilled professionals. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of game development experience, a strong understanding of C/C++ and object-oriented programming, and a passion for video games.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in game development
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• Expertise in C/C++ and object-oriented programming
• Solid understanding of multi-threading concepts
• Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills
• Are able to work well fully-remote
• Ability to write clean, well-documented, and efficient code
• Work and collaborate effectively as part of a team
• Love for video games (not just ours!)

Responsibilities

• Drive development of our feature technology, in-game systems and pipelines
• Collaborate with content creators to improve workflows and efficiency
• Dive into a large codebase to simplify processes, solve challenges, and identify deficiencies
• Work in an Agile environment to provide accurate schedules and estimates for completing tasks on time
• Produce code that is clean, efficient, well-documented, and conforms to our coding standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on multi-platform software projects
• Proficient in low-level tech, engines, core systems and libraries
• Knowledge in writing multi-threaded code
• Proficient in 3D mathematics
• Shipped game titles, preferably on console
