Summary

Join charity: water as a Software Engineer to code for a cause, developing modern and innovative pixel-perfect experiences to improve donor engagement and elevate the public website. You'll work on the cross functional Growth Squad, collaborating with designers, other squads, and contributing clean, modern, well-tested code.

Requirements

A strong foundation and passion for modern frontend development, expertise in writing clean, modular, extensible Javascript (React), HTML5, and CSS3, enough experience collaborating with designers, hands on experience with web performance optimization, cross-browser compatibility, and front-end dev-ops infrastructure, great communication and collaboration skills, at least 2 years developing user facing web applications, proficiency with Ruby on Rails and test-driven development, an agile approach to software development and maintenance cycles, Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience

Responsibilities

Working with cross functional squad members to shape, build, and maintain software related to the optimization of charity: water’s public website, CMS, component library, design systems, online lead collection & donation forms, supporting marketing initiatives, and collaborating with other squads

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with nonprofits, online fundraising & payment processing, experience working with Product, and Marketing teams, experience using Builder, Contentful, and Optimizely
