Summary

Join UtilityAPI as a Software Engineer to help scale its suite of energy data products. You will work with a team to implement and scale a data sharing platform for institutional customers. Collaboration with product and project management is key to refining requirements and building effective solutions. The role requires experience with Python, Django, and working across the tech stack. We offer a fully remote position with flexible hours and a commitment to the renewable energy transition. Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in software engineering using Python, with some experience using Django
  • Experience working at all layers of the tech stack, from the front end to the database
  • Demonstrated experience making proactive recommendations about a software product, software architecture, or team process
  • Experience working collaboratively with product management teams to achieve software outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Work with other engineers to implement our data sharing platform (frontend and backend) for institutional/enterprise customers
  • Help us scale our data sharing platform for a broad increase in usage
  • Collaborate closely with product management and project management to refine requirements and build software that effectively solves our customers’ problems
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and provide input on prioritization and technical plans

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with a larger team on software projects
  • Experience in the renewable energy industry
