Software Engineer I

Summary

Join Affirm's AI Agents engineering team as a Software Engineer and contribute to building a conversational first point of contact for customers. You'll work closely with omnichannel AI agent vendors, orchestrating systems to find solutions for customers. This newly formed team is tackling big challenges, so you'll need to take ownership and execute effectively. You'll collaborate with your team and stakeholders, ensuring quality and speed in your work while contributing to a sense of community.

Requirements

• You have previous work or internship experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue
• You have previous work or internship designing, developing and launching APIs at scale using languages like Python or Kotlin
• You have mastered taking a simple problem or business scenario into a solution that interacts with multiple software components, and executing on it by writing clear, easily understood, well tested and extensible code
• You are comfortable navigating a large code base, debugging others' code, and providing feedback to other engineers through code reviews
• Your experience demonstrates that you take ownership of your growth, proactively seeking feedback from your team, your manager, and your stakeholders
• You have strong verbal and written communication skills that support effective collaboration with our global engineering team
