Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field
• Minimum of 3+ years industry experience
• Minimum of 1+ year using Microsoft SQL Server and writing advanced queries
• Knowledge of and comfort with Microsoft Visual Studio, C#, .NET, MSDN
• Knowledge of and comfort with Angular, AngularJS, or other JavaScript framework
• Strong technical and analytical qualities
• Ability to work well within a team, strong communication skills
• Creative, motivated, self-starter
• A strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and document software changes in Nextech products
• Evaluate and diagnose improvements or issues within existing Nextech products
• Work independently on assigned projects and tasks while coordinating progress with other team members
• Transform requirements into functional software with input from many sources
• Communicate with all levels of the organization, balancing competing priorities
• Write functional specifications and planning documents for software design
• Estimate deadlines on projects
• Implement software changes in Angular, AngularJS, C#, SQL (additional languages may be used)
• Test and review other team members’ code
• Lead and coordinate projects with guidance
• Architect and design solutions to complex systems
• Evaluate advanced issues for customer-facing issue resolution
• Coordinate with the Technical Services team for customer support on data conversions, HL-7 integrations, and other projects
• Demonstrate a high level of knowledge in a few core areas of Nextech products
• Maintain compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity laws, HIPAA, ERISA and other regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Git source control
• Knowledge of medical systems and processes
• Experience with TypeScript
• Strong interest in working with AI systems, particularly in the development and implementation of AI driven solutions
• General knowledge of Large Language Models(LLMs), including how they are consumed and the fundamentals of prompt engineering
• Understanding of key AI principles such as fast experimentation, data-first R&D, and iterative development
• Proficiency in Python, with experience in developing scalable solutions
• Experience with Azure cloud services
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries a plus
