Software Engineer II

Summary

Join Toast, a leading hospitality software company, as a Software Engineer II on the Enterprise team. You will design, build, and deliver features across the Toast platform (POS, backend, and frontend systems), ensuring the product meets the evolving needs of enterprise customers. Collaborate with UX, PM, and various teams. Contribute to automated testing and feature rollouts, monitoring success. Work with experienced engineers on design and code reviews. • Experience building backend services, APIs, or front ends
• Comfortable working with an Object Oriented Language like Java or Kotlin
• Experience delivering high quality, reliable services to production

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver features in Toast’s enterprise management products
• Ensure quality by building automated testing for changes
• Roll features out to customers, including monitoring for success
• Collaborate with UX and PM on the definition and design of features
• Partner with a wide array of teams across Toast
• Work with experienced engineers to deliver design and code review

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building complex web applications with React
• Experience building android applications with Kotlin
