Requirements
- Have worked for at least 3 years in software development, having worked as part of a software development team
- Expert level of experience working in Python or Java
- Experience working in Typescript, React or other relevant frontend technologies
- Be comfortable working in a highly agile, iterative software development process
- Be able to work independently to drive outcomes and build solutions, but also thrive in an inclusive team environment, flexibly and consistently leveraging communication and collaboration skills
- Have familiarity with Kafka, complementing your backend development skills
- Be acquainted with ElasticSearch, GraphQL, and Docker, broadening your technical toolkit
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a cross-functional scrum team to develop intuitive features that align with the product roadmap
- Lead small to mid-sized development projects, involving breaking down projects into tasks, writing technical designs, providing clear directions, offering support and mentorship to junior engineers, writing test plans, and establishing measurable goals
- Directly contribute to our software by writing high-quality code
- Actively promote quality through regular code reviews and the creation of appropriate tests
- Help identify and overcome areas of improvement in the codebase, as well as identify technical or product opportunities
- Bring full-stack technical expertise to the engineering team, providing valuable insights to inform technical decisions
- Own one or more functional spaces as a subject matter expert (SME) and play a key role in training others in these areas
