Summary
Join Rula's Patient Experience team as a Software Engineer II and build a high-quality care journey for every patient. You will design and build scalable solutions for the patient portal, collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers. This full-stack role requires designing scalable solutions impacting patient engagement, retention, satisfaction, and mental health outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, 3+ years of software engineering experience, and proven ability to build responsive and scalable systems. Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience collaborating directly with product and design teams
- Proven ability to build highly responsive, scalable, reliable, and performant systems
- Proficiency in all phases of the development lifecycle, from planning to post-launch maintenance
- Intermediate understanding of modern application architecture, including API design patterns, data modeling, security, performance, and scaling as well as frontend architecture including component-based design, state management patterns and rendering performance
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable solutions that directly shape how patients engage with their care
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to solve complex technical problems and deliver a seamless, secure, and accessible experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working at a startup or growth-stage company
- High personal awareness and growth mindset
- Familiarity with React, Node.js, TypeScript, Kafka, AWS, or equivalent technologies
- Experience participating in on-call rotations and resolving production issues
- Demonstrated success working on medium-complexity projects with sustainable results
