Software Engineer III

Summary

The Software Engineer III position at Foundry is a role for a motivated and experienced software engineer to design, develop, and maintain software solutions. The ideal candidate should have 5-10 years of professional experience in software engineering, proficiency with .NET, expertise in front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and a strong understanding of databases, monitoring and alerting systems.

Requirements

• 5-10 years professional experience in software engineering and software architecture
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
• Expertise in front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Proficiency with .NET
• Interest in researching topics related to digital assets, mining, and staking
• Have a working knowledge of databases, monitoring and alerting systems

Responsibilities

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software that meets our customers' needs
• Collaborate with product managers and other team members to understand project requirements and specifications
• Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions in accordance with best practices and coding standards
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Debug and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance your skills and contribute to technology decisions
• Contribute to the improvement of software development processes and methodologies
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing regular project updates

Preferred Qualifications

• Modern JavaScript Frameworks, CSS, HTML
• Very strong C# programming skills (3+ years recent professional experience)
• Experience migrating apps from .NET Framework to .NET Core is a big plus
• Solid understanding of Ubuntu/Linux systems
• REST/HTTP, JSON/XML, RPC
• Database management/design/performance tuning
• Cloud servers such as Amazon AWS and Digital Ocean
• Hands on experience operating or managing ASIC miners
• Microservices architecture
• Git version control
