Software Engineer III

Summary

Join Modea as a Software Engineer III and contribute to complex projects, leading new product discovery and custom builds. This advanced role requires independent work, collaboration, and mentoring junior engineers. You will collaborate with project teams, participate in agile ceremonies, produce high-quality code, and deploy applications. Success in this position requires proven experience in autonomous work, effective communication, and resource leverage. Requirements

• Senior Software Engineers are expected to have approximately 5 years of relevant experience
• Senior Software Engineers are expected to have experience developing applications for Content Management Systems
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position during the duration of the workday
• Individuals must have the ability to constantly operate a computer
• Must have the ability to converse with and exchange information to clients and coworkers both in person and through a computer
• Capable of occasionally transporting items of 10 lbs or less to and from the office
• You must be legally authorized to work in the United States for this position

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project team(s) to identify client requirements
• Participate in, and sometimes lead, standard process ceremonies, such as regular stand-ups, backlog grooming, planning, demos, retrospectives, etc
• Produce well-designed, testable, efficient code under close supervision
• Ensure code produced meets standards for security, quality, and accessibility
• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
• Deploying applications to internal and external environments
• Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining, and improving existing software
• Participate in learning activities such as pairing with other developers, online video instruction, conferences, etc
• Mentoring of more junior developers on project and functional team
• Developing technical documentation to guide future software development projects, onboarding new developers, or for hand-off to the client’s technical team
• Performs other duties as assigned that are reasonably within scope of this position
