Software Engineer III, in Test

This Software Engineer III, In Test role focuses on developing and establishing quality assurance standards and measures for our information technology services. You will write test plans and scripts, validate and verify system/software applications, and ensure high quality in our SaaS applications.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience with software development life cycle, testing methodologies, quality control, and quality assurance
• Experience in systems integration and user acceptance testing
• Experience developing and executing manual test suites
• Familiarity with test tools and techniques, bug tracking systems, test design and execution (Testrail, Jmeter, Jira, etc)
• Comfortable using and moving around in a Linux-based environment
• Experienced in utilizing SQL queries to perform job duties
• Experience in Java, JavaScript utilizing the Selenium framework. With hands on experience writing and running automated tests
• Experience with modern source control systems (Git, Gradle, etc.)
• Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and propose creative solutions
• Communication and Collaboration: Highly effective communication skills, comfortable leading within a team, and driving development discussions

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute manual tests and plans for software changes in the company's software products
• Develop and execute test scripts and plans for software changes in the company’s software products
• Perform integrated software testing, which includes but is not limited to, ensuring the accuracy of new product features or corrections to current software functions per the business requirements prior to release of software
• Track and report work completed on a daily basis
• Work closely with software developers to clearly convey issues found and to ensure timely resolution
• Document, track, retest and communicate test results
• Ensure tasks assigned are completed as scheduled
• Review product Release Notes and other documentation for accuracy
• Enhance existing and recommend new methodologies to improve company efficiency and quality
• Writes and maintains test automation scripts
• Pursue continuing education, addressing analysis and upgrading of technical and testing skills

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience: Emphasis in engineering, data science, computer science or information systems is preferred
