Summary

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a professional software engineer
  • Proven experience in a cloud-based deployment environment (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • A strong foundation in software development principles and practices
  • Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while also working closely with team members and collaborating with other teams

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality applications and APIs
  • Assist in technical discussions and contribute insights to enhance architecture, scalability, and performance
  • Develop using modern technologies (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React)
  • Develop using modern platform cloud technologies (Serverless, AWS)
  • Contribute to the development of DevOps automations (Terraform, Gitlab CI/CD)
  • Participate in code reviews, learn from feedback, and provide constructive feedback
  • Participate in maintenance and troubleshooting of the system

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with large codebases or enterprise-grade software
  • Experience working with Java
  • Experience working in an Agile, CI/CD environment
  • Experience with AWS (e.g. Lambda, API Gateway, Dynamo DB, VPC, IAM, etc.)
  • Experience with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Experience with API integration and HRIS
