Software Engineer Intern

Summary

Join SentinelOne's internship program and contribute to enhancing the reliability and automation of our continuous deployment pipeline. This internship focuses on automating Jira-gated ArgoCD deployments, improving the developer experience. You will design and prototype automation scripts integrating ArgoCD and Jira, validate issue states and metadata, integrate with ArgoCD for pre-deployment validation, and develop visibility features. The ideal candidate possesses experience with scripting (Python preferred), familiarity with REST APIs, basic understanding of Kubernetes and CI/CD, and comfort with Git/GitHub. The internship offers mentorship, challenging projects, training, networking opportunities, and a leadership speaker series. This U.S.-based role offers an hourly pay range of $28-$28 USD.

Requirements

• Experience with scripting for automation (Python preferred)
• Familiarity with REST APIs (e.g., Jira, ArgoCD)
• Basic understanding of Kubernetes and CI/CD workflows
• Comfort with Git/GitHub and modern development practices
• Self-motivated and eager to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Design and prototype automation scripts to integrate ArgoCD and Jira
• Use the Jira API to validate issue state, metadata, and approval history
• Integrate with ArgoCD through hooks or webhooks for pre-deployment validation
• Develop visibility features (e.g., Slack notifications or a lightweight dashboard)
• Write documentation and share learnings with the broader engineering organization
