Join Makro PRO, a new digital venture, and become a Software Engineer (Machine Learning). You will work on cutting-edge GenAI technologies, traditional ML, and scalable AI systems to enhance search, personalization, and recommendations. This role requires expertise in various ML techniques, including transformers, SQL, and PEFT. You'll contribute to building Southeast Asia's next unicorn. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on machine learning.
Requirements
- 5+ years in software engineering in machine learning, with a track record of developing production-grade systems
- Proficiency in Python and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn
- Strong understanding of transformers, SQL, PEFT techniques, and traditional ML algorithms (e.g., XGBoost, clustering)
Responsibilities
- Fine-tune and deploy Generative AI models using PEFT, IA3, and transformers (e.g., BERT, GPT, and image transformers is a plus)
- Build NLP, ranking models for content generation and personalization
- Design and implement ML-driven systems to improve search relevance, recommendation accuracy, and personalization
- Apply traditional ML techniques like XGBoost, LightGBM, CNN, clustering, and deep learning
- Work with structured and unstructured data, leveraging SQL and data engineering pipelines to prepare and analyze training data
- Architect solutions for distributed training and optimize resource usage for large-scale model training
- Manage MLOps pipelines using tools like SageMaker, Ray, MLFlow, or Vertex AI for seamless deployment and monitoring
