Software Engineer - Platform Productivity

Summary

Join Grafana Labs' Platform Productivity squad as a remote software engineer based in Canada (excluding Quebec). You will contribute to the development and maintenance of the Internal Engineering Platform, focusing on CI/CD, automation, and improving the release processes for internal engineering teams. The role involves working collaboratively with engineers and management, utilizing Kubernetes and Docker, and participating in on-call rotations. Requirements

• Have engineering/software development experience within a Platform group delivering services to internal engineering teams
• Have experience working in a cloud environment
• Have experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform/Crossplane
• Have familiarity with Kubernetes administration
• Have experience/interest in implementing, integrating, and maintaining observability systems and processes

Responsibilities

• Help maintain, improve and extend existing systems
• Participate in choosing what to focus on next and when/how to sunset systems
• Help design, compare, and choose appropriate solutions for the Internal Engineering Platform (IEP)
• Contribute to CI/CD platform management and development
• Develop build, release and deployment automation
• Develop application configuration management tooling
• Develop automation for keeping software up-to-date
• Manage artifacts
• Work with diverse internal teams to support implementation of their requirements
• Participate in on-call rotation to support Platform tooling
