Responsibilities

  • Managing a group of software engineers by finding their problems, blockers and process deficiencies
  • Leading the feedback cycle for software engineers by discussing areas and practical ways for them to improve their abilities and contributions to the product they are developing
  • Performing bi-annual performance reviews with qualitative and quantitative data
  • Collaborating with the product managers and designers for the squads that the engineers are assigned to by contributing to the prioritization and determining the individuals who are best for accomplishing the work
  • Leading technical projects that require multiple teams or individuals for completion
  • Measuring completion for the software teams towards the product delivery through Trello and Github and quickly unblocking areas where cross dependencies or lack of clarity are preventing the feature from being finished
  • Participating in code reviews and discussions to assist engineers in making decisions on significant architectural implementation details
  • Evaluating the severity of technical issues and product bugs so they can be prioritized correctly and their impact is clear
  • Working with software engineers to estimate software improvements that can lead to faster product contribution or improved product performance

Preferred Qualifications

Programming in Go, React for 2+ years is a huge plus
