Summary
Join Samsara's Research and Development team as an Engineering Manager and lead teams developing features for our IoT platform. You will define project plans, work with engineers on next-generation technology, and hire and develop your team. This remote position, open to UK-based candidates, requires experience building scalable SaaS applications and managing large-scale application services. You'll collaborate with senior leadership and engineers, setting quarterly goals and ensuring high component reliability. Requirements
- Experience building scalable, mission-critical SaaS applications
- Experience operating, maintaining, and improving upon large scale application services
- Strong interpersonal communication skills (including listening, speaking, and writing) and ability to work well in a diverse, team-focused environment
- Strong track record of delivering products and features that customers love
- Proven record of attracting top-talent and coaching the team
- 8+ years of relevant software engineering work experience
- 3+ years of hands-on technical management experience
- You speak English proficiently
Responsibilities
- Participate with senior leadership and cross-functional peers to develop a long-term roadmap and strategy for Samsaraโs telematics feature sets
- Collaborate with senior engineers to drive technical strategy
- Set quarterly goals and balance product/engineering priorities for maximum impact
- Drive planning and execution on the roadmap, delivering features and infrastructure enhancements to delight customers
- Set a high-standard for the reliability of your components
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsaraโs cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we expand and scale our mobile presence (more apps across more geographies)

Preferred Qualifications
- B.S. in Computer Science or related technical discipline
- Experience building customer-facing web and mobile workflow applications
