Summary
Join ServiceNow, a global leader in AI-enhanced technology, as a product development manager. You will manage product development, write and review code (primarily Java), collaborate with various teams, and contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of software components. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage and mentor a high-performing engineering team. You will need extensive experience in relevant technologies, including AI integration, and a passion for solving technical problems and talent development. Requirements
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry
- 10+ years of experience with technologies relevant to SN and advanced coding skills
- Experience with open source tools and agile development environments
- Fluency in one or more relevant programming language (Java, C++, Ruby. Shell, JavaScript)
- Ability to design robust and maintainable solutions for complex problems
- Draw clarity from ambiguity, make decisions with incomplete information, move fast and adapt to changes
- Be passionate about solving technical problems and talent development
Responsibilities
- Manage product development activities
- Write, read and review code (primarily in Java)
- Work with product management, design, support and other dev teams to create high-quality solutions
- Be close to the code structure, contribute to design, implementation, maintenance, documentation and support of the components
- Communicate with executives, managers, software developers, quality engineers and product managers
- Manage departmental resources, staffing, mentoring, and enhancing and maintaining a best-of-class engineering team
- Develop, cultivate and mentor talent and grow your team members
- Establish high performance and yet hungry and humble team culture that strives to wow our customers
