Requirements

  • Experience working in a professional services or consulting model
  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including over 2 years in a QA management role leading a team of five or more direct reports
  • Proven success managing QA teams in a remote or distributed work environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently advocate for QA priorities and best practices to both internal and external teams
  • Expertise in QA methodologies, tools, and processes for both manual and automated testing
  • Experience with REST API testing tools like Postman
  • Comfortable working in Agile environments and contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the QA process, ensuring best practices in manual and automated testing
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a remote team of QA engineers
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and career development planning
  • Support hiring and onboarding of new QA team members
  • Define quality benchmarks and ensure consistent application across all client projects
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, developers, and product owners to align quality goals
  • Champion automation frameworks and strategies to reduce manual testing and increase efficiency where appropriate
  • Oversee performance, regression, integration, and exploratory testing initiatives
  • Identify and document defects clearly and support issue resolution through the development lifecycle
  • Partner with Software Engineering to support DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and shift-left testing strategies
  • Work with Client Success and Delivery teams to ensure QA efforts align with client expectations and timelines
  • Help integrate QA early into the software development process to catch issues proactively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based QA environments
  • ISTQB or similar QA certifications
  • Background in .NET or Microsoft stack projects
  • Proficiency in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or similar)
