Summary

The job is for a Software Tester at Grant Leading Technology, a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) government contracting firm. The candidate will be responsible for developing and executing test scripts, assessing performance, analyzing test results, and providing support to the customer. The position requires a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Information Technology or related fields with four years of relevant experience, three years of which should be in software testing. Preferred skills include MBI clearance, knowledge of IRS applications, Rational CLM tools, IBM Mainframe, IBM Time Share Option (TSO), Control-M, Unisys Mainframe, DB2, Informatica Business Objects, Java, SQL, XML, automation experience, and experience with TOAD.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Information Technology or related fields
• Four (4) plus years of relevant experience in the IT field
• Three (3) years of experience with software testing
• Able to identify and communicate program risks and recommend mitigation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with Cisco contact center applications
• Must be US Citizen and able to pass background check

Responsibilities

• Perform and document test cases
• Ensure systems and enterprise capabilities comply with requirements and standards through formal verification methods
• Assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures
• Perform analysis of test results and prepares evaluation reports and risk assessments
• Evaluate discrepancy reports and perform integration testing to validate incorporated fixes affecting systems and enterprise capabilities
• Provide direct, interfacing support to the customer for system integration, test, evaluation and transition activities
• Independently develops and executes test scripts to ensure quality software is provided for production release and to certify system changes
• Produces expert-level test plan documents and requirements
• Develops test control databases
• Performs solution testing confirming business requirements
• Maintains test databases and ensures their integrity and currency
• Develops, compiles, documents, and runs automated test scripts and test procedures
• Runs regression tests
• Perform manual testing
• Tracks status of defects
• Provides quality assurance testing for all systems to ensure the development and distribution of quality products
• Assists with the roll-out of systems documentation
• Produces lists of defects to be resolved and incorporated into future releases of the application as required
• Communicates with analysts and programmers about formal testing plans, problems, and results
• Develops technical documentation and reports
• Manages the Release Management process for all changes to the baseline IT infrastructure. Ensures all procedures are adhered to appropriately throughout project lifecycles

Preferred Qualifications

• Have Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance
• Experience with the following IRS applications a significant plus: MeF (Modernized e-File), ITPE (Individual Tax Processing Engine), RRP (Return Review Program), BDOC (Business Document Specific Programs), BMFERS (Business Master File Error Resolution System), GUF (Generalized Unpostable Framework), Notices, IMF (Individual Master File), BMF (Business Master File), CADE2 (Customer Account Data Engine 2)
• Knowledge of current IRS tax administration software applications is a significant plus
