Summary

Join the NATO Information and Communication Agency (NCI Agency) as an experienced software tester supporting the NATO Joint Targeting System (JTS) and Functional Area Services for dynamic and time-sensitive Targeting (FAST). You will be responsible for testing JTS/FAST applications/modules, developing and maintaining testing automation frameworks and test cases, and reporting test results. The work will involve manual and automated testing, supporting the development of testing pipelines, and attending meetings. This is an off-site position requiring a NATO SECRET security clearance. The contract is initially for 2025 with options to extend through 2026 and 2027. Payment is milestone-based, tied to the successful completion of two-week sprints.

Requirements

  • Have relevant and recent experience in system and software testing (e.g. certification)
  • Have relevant and recent experience in testing automation using web tools (Ready-Api, Selenium, (and non-web frameworks (QF-Test)
  • Have relevant and recent experience in using testing tools (e.g. Zephyr) and methodologies (e.g. Agile)
  • Be able to speak and write fluent English since the work is conducted in English
  • Have the nationality of one of the NATO nations
  • Possess a valid NATO SECRET security clearance provided by the national security organization and valid at the time of submission of the bid covering the period of the requirement

Responsibilities

  • Test the JTS/FAST applications/modules
  • Develop/maintain JTS/FAST testing automation frameworks
  • Develop/maintain test cases and test material
  • Develop/conduct manual test procedures
  • Develop/conduct unit and automated testing of software components
  • Report automated and manual test results
  • Support the development of testing pipelines
  • Attend virtual and in-person meetings
  • Update the status of the JTS/FAST development tasks in Jira and test procedures and test results in Zephyr

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have relevant and recent experience in supporting the NATO Joint Targeting Cycle (e.g. Targeteer)
  • Have relevant and recent experience in verifying functional and non-functional requirements. (e.g. development and execution of test cases, test data, etc.)
  • Have relevant and recent experience in continuous software integration and automated testing
