Summary

Join Object Edge, an award-winning eCommerce consultancy, as a remote AWS Cloud Architect. Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of a secure, scalable, and cost-efficient multi-tenant SaaS platform. You will drive architectural decisions, guide technical teams, and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform. Responsibilities include establishing security best practices, defining cloud governance policies, and implementing cost-optimization strategies. You will also provide technical leadership and mentorship to DevOps and development teams. This role requires deep AWS expertise across a broad range of services and strong proficiency in Terraform. Success in this position will be measured by the successful automation of tenant account provisioning, reduction in manual setup time, and establishment of robust CI/CD pipelines.

• Architectural Vision & Design: Ability to envision, design, and document complex, highly available, and scalable cloud architectures, particularly in a multi-tenant context

• Cost Consciousness: Demonstrated ability to identify and implement strategies for cloud cost optimization

Responsibilities

• Multi-Tenant AWS Architecture & Strategy: Design and document a comprehensive, secure, scalable, and cost-efficient end-to-end multi-tenant AWS architecture, including multi-account strategy (AWS Organizations, Control Tower) and robust networking solutions
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation Leadership: Drive the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ensuring automated tenant account provisioning, and integrating architecture with efficient CI/CD pipelines
• Security, Governance & Cost Optimization: Embed security best practices, define and enforce cloud governance policies, and implement cost-optimization strategies across the AWS platform from inception
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Provide clear technical leadership and guidance to DevOps and development teams, making critical architectural decisions and mentoring team members on AWS best practices
