Summary
Join MetTel's expanding Sales Architecture team as a Solutions Architect, aligning with customers and partners to create unique solutions addressing technical and financial needs. You will provide technical expertise, develop engaging presentations and proposals, translate business requirements into actionable work items, and conduct effective customer meetings. Responsibilities include leading discovery calls, identifying new opportunities, articulating MetTel's value proposition, and staying current with industry technology. You will also lead alpha/beta testing and field trials, and present to executive teams. Travel is estimated at 30-40%. The role requires strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills, along with experience in translating business requirements into technical specifications and creating statements of work.
Requirements
- Technical expertise in required technologies; SDWAN, SASE, Cloud Networking and Security Architecture, Cloud PBX, Managed Services, 4G/5G Wireless Technologies
- Competency in other solution sets: WiFi, Security, Collaboration, and Data Center
- A strong understanding of voice/data/internet applications, communications technology, and network design. IP Routing and Switching, WAN, LAN, IP V4/V6, MPLS, VPN, SIP and TDM
- Understanding of sales cycles and the solution selling process, preferably at multiple levels, i.e., Internet & Enterprise
- Solid presentation skills
- Excellent client management/resolution and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong understanding of business drivers
- Self-motivation but can work well independently and as part of a team
- Experience translating business requirements to technical requirements
- Experience with SOW creation, scoping/pricing services
- Experience with design/network architecture
- Experience with competitive positioning
- Bachelor of Science degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience; or 10 years professional level related Engineering/Technical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise in customer engagements specifically around MetTel's suite of products and services
- Create and deliver enticing proofs-of-concept, presentations, and proposals
- Translate business and technical requirements into the actionable scope of work items
- Conduct effective customer meetings and gather, document, and influence requirements
- Prepare and deliver enthusiastic and engaging technical presentations
- Develop strong positive relationships with various individuals and key customer contacts
- Discover and identify potential new opportunities (wider and deeper)
- Articulate MetTel's value proposition
- Stay current with industry specific technology
- Lead alpha/beta testing and field trials
- Lead discovery calls with customers and uncover any opportunities
- Be able to confidently navigate a room and present to enthusiastically and engage executive teams
- Travel 30-40%
- Work closely with Account Team to train and align on customer opportunities
- Contribute to delivery framework and design
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical Certifications a plus: (CCNA, CCNP, etc.)
- Strong RF/Wireless experience is a plus
- VMware SDWAN/SASE experience is a plus
