Solutions Architect

Summary

Join poolside as a Solution Architect and be the liaison between Enterprise customers and Cloud Engineers. Onboard new customers, ensuring they can install, manage, and monitor poolside's platform. Your mission is to work with customers to deliver a scalable product by customizing deployment scripts to meet specific infrastructure needs. You will use your expertise to support the engineering team in designing and implementing performant, secure, and scalable solutions. The role requires collaboration, documentation creation, troubleshooting, and expertise in distributed systems, cloud services, and developer tools. Requirements

• Collaborate with customers to adapt the cloud architecture to the customer reality while ensuring high availability, scalability, and security
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for architectures, configurations, procedures, and customer interactions
• Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions
• Comfortable with distributed systems
• Data pipelines, distributed processing, fault tolerance, performance optimization
• Message queues, event-driven architectures, e.g. Kafka, Google pub/sub
• Clouds: managed services, storage. GCP, AWS, Azure
• Experience with developer experience tools
• Worked on CI/CD pipelines
• Worked with containerization in production environments

Responsibilities

Work with customers to deliver a scalable poolside product by customizing the deployment scripts to fit specific customer infrastructure requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in either Go, Ruby or Python (we're open to people from other languages) is a plus
• DevOps: Git, Docker, k8s, Terraform, baremetal
• Monitoring and alerting (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog)
• Active TS/SCI Clearance Preferred
