Summary

Join ScienceLogic as a Solutions Architect, serving as the primary technical interface and subject matter expert for our product line. You will deliver expert-level consulting and technical support to customers, ensuring solutions are implemented effectively. Collaborate with customer teams to guide platform architecture and strategic implementation decisions, leading technical workshops and design sessions. Design and develop customized solutions, translating customer needs into functional requirements and technical deliverables. Produce high-quality technical documentation and act as a customer advocate, identifying product improvement opportunities. Leverage field experience to drive continuous improvement and contribute to the development of best practices for system scalability, reliability, security, and monitoring.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure monitoring and support
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with the Linux operating system
  • Proven experience designing and deploying IT infrastructure, application monitoring, and performance solutions
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to manage priorities and maintain a positive, solutions-oriented attitude—even in high-pressure situations
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the capability to manage multiple complex projects and coordinate across teams effectively
  • Team-oriented mindset, willing to collaborate and support colleagues to ensure collective success
  • Creative and strategic thinker who brings innovative solutions to technical challenges and adapts quickly to evolving requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions aligned with customer goals
  • Hands-on experience with Linux systems, as well as familiarity with Windows and Unix environments
  • Proven track record of implementing and supporting enterprise-class infrastructure monitoring or application performance solutions
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and trust

Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert-level consulting and technical support to customers, ensuring solutions are implemented with precision and satisfaction
  • Serve as the trusted advisor and subject matter expert for ScienceLogic platforms, including SL1, Skylar, PowerFlow, and Restorepoint
  • Collaborate with customer technical and leadership teams to guide platform architecture and strategic implementation decisions
  • Lead and facilitate technical workshops and design sessions to define system requirements, create architectural diagrams, and deliver comprehensive documentation
  • Design and develop customized solutions tailored to specific client requirements, collaborating closely with Sales and Customer Success teams
  • Create custom components including: Dynamic Applications, Run Book Automations, Dashboard Widgets, Reports, Integrations, Scripts
  • Translate customer needs into functional requirements and technical deliverables that align with best practices and product capabilities
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation, such as: Architecture and design documents, System assessments and gap analyses, Deployment requirements checklists
  • Act as a customer advocate, identifying product improvement opportunities and contributing feedback to internal product and engineering teams
  • Leverage field experience to drive continuous improvement in deployment methodologies, documentation, and customer onboarding processes
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of best practices for system scalability, reliability, security, and monitoring

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ITSM platforms and integrations (e.g., ServiceNow, PagerDuty)
  • Familiarity with EMS/NMS tools such as EM7, SolarWinds, IBM NetCool/Tivoli, Nagios, or HP OpenView
  • Knowledge of SNMP, Syslog, and alert configuration
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, PHP, PowerShell) and REST or GraphQL APIs
  • Familiarity with MySQL databases and WMI
