Specialist Automation Engineer

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software testing roles, with 6+ years in automated testing of Angular applications
• Hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript for test automation
• Proficient in test automation design patterns, tools, and writing tests in JavaScript/TypeScript
• Strong debugging skills and experience triaging logs to identify root causes of issues/bugs
• Skilled in creating detailed test plans, scripts, and reporting results
• Expertise in API/Web Services Testing tools like Postman
• Experience in building UI & API automation frameworks
• Practical experience in manual and automated testing across UI, business logic, data access, and APIs
• Solid understanding of test types and their application in the SDLC
• Familiar with cross-browser and non-functional testing strategies and tools
• Knowledge of SQL and Jenkins for CI/CD
• Experience with AWS technologies (CloudFront, S3, etc.)
• Familiarity and/or experience with public cloud infrastructures and technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Performance testing of API and UI based applications

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans for functional, regression, performance, and end-to-end testing
• Create and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript preferred)
• Perform manual testing where necessary to ensure comprehensive test coverage
• Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve defects effectively
• Participate in code reviews and advocate for QA best practices
• Ensure efficient use of tools and processes, including version control systems and CI/CD pipelines
• Continuously enhance testing processes and methodologies to improve quality and reliability
• Participate and contribute to team Scrum ceremonies
• Create and maintain the required documentation
• Is a team player

Preferred Qualifications

ISTQB certification (or equivalent) preferred
