Summary

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
• Proven track record as a SQL Server DBA
• Strong background in database maintenance, security, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery
• Experience with database design, documentation, and coding
• Advanced problem-solving abilities and algorithmic thinking
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Practical experience with database standards and end-user application

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain SQL Server databases across all environments, from development through production
• Optimize database performance, security, and availability through monitoring and maintenance
• Implement robust data modeling strategies to meet system integration and performance requirements
• Provide real-time troubleshooting and end-to-end problem resolution
• Develop and maintain automated processes and comprehensive documentation
• Collaborate with developers on query optimization and database schema improvements
• Coordinate and execute scheduled maintenance during off-hours (flexible working hours are coordinated if such needs arise)
• Plan and implement disaster recovery strategies
• Manage system updates and upgrades
