SQL DBA

Summary

Join DEPT® as a Senior SQL DBA Contractor and contribute to a pioneering technology and marketing services company. This 6-month contract (with potential extension) focuses on investigating, managing, and optimizing SQL Server databases. You will be responsible for performance optimization, troubleshooting, data security, and database design and implementation. The ideal candidate possesses strong SQL Server expertise, experience with legacy versions and upgrades, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Requirements

• Strong understanding of SQL Server
• Server database design principles, data modeling
• Scripting languages (e.g., SQL , Python )
• Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Role will be highly investigative, focused on troubleshooting
• Communication and Collaboration Skills: Team will be split across units, region, etc

Responsibilities

• Performance Optimization: monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance: troubleshoot issues, resolve errors, and maintain overall health
• Data Security: protect sensitive information, including access controls, encryption, and audits
• Database Design and Implementation

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of older versions of SQL server ex: 2017 and upgrading to 2019 or 22
