Sr. Back-End Software Engineer

Summary

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will help build a complex ecommerce marketplace in the Chemicals space, contribute to product decisions, own your projects from design to deployment, and implement cutting-edge technologies. Requirements

• 5+ years experience building highly scalable Ruby on Rails applications
• Expert level knowledge of Ruby
• Ability to take initiatives from requirements to deployment
• Ability to function as a project leader as well as an individual contributor
• Ability to work and collaborate within distributed, multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills
• High bar for quality and a phenomenal attention to detail
• Experience with DevOps, cloud infrastructure services (AWS/GCP), and containerization (Docker)
• Experience managing release activities
• A passion for CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to design and build scalable, high-availability mission-critical systems and APIs

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the build of a complex ecommerce marketplace, the first of its kind in the Chemicals space
• Work directly with leadership and the product team to make decisions about your code and the future of the product
• Ship features quickly without sacrificing code quality
• Own your projects from software design to implementation and deployment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with GraphQL, PostgreSQL / Elasticsearch / Redis / S3, React / Angular / TypeScript on frontend
